Great Plains IDEA

The IAA debut project, A National Model for Inter-institutional Postbaccalaureate Distance Education Programs, was funded by the US Department of Education. This complex project included deans, registrars, finance officers and faculty from 10 public universities in 10 states. The IAA staff guided and supported project participants in the construction of a consortium infrastructure that has sustained the Alliance since 2000. In 2007, the Great Plains IDEA offered 7 inter-institutional masters degrees to over 2000 students. To ensure continued success, the IAA provides on-going management services to Great Plains IDEA.
